Steps to check\Update your Chromebook OS
Check to make sure that your Chromebook OS is up to date. To check your Chrome OS, at the login screen - use the keys Alt + V this will give you Google Chrome OS version number at the top right of the screen and your device serial number. See the screenshot below.

To Run an OS Update for your Chromebook, login with your account. Then click on the 3 dots ”menu” button and select > Help > About Google Chrome

To see if your device is up to date, go to “Chrome OS Settings”
Select the “Check for updates” button

If an update is needed or available, Chrome will automatically update to the latest version.

After the update has been completed, click the Restart button.

Your Chromebook will automatically reboot.
